1988

Kerry Doull accumulates 10 years of previous oilfield experience in areas of exploration, upstream fabrication & construction, and facility/process construction before creating Doull Soilgas Specialty.  He begins providing gas migration testing services to customers in the heavy oil area near Lloydminster, AB/SK.

1995

Doull Soilgas Specialty becomes involved in well integrity assessments, and water monitoring well sampling and assessments at thermal facilities in the Cold Lake Oil Sands area.

1999

Doull Soilgas Specialty obtains accreditation in Wellsite Reclamation Criteria.

2000

Doull Soilgas Specialty obtains accreditation in Environmental Practices for Oilfield Activities.

2001

Doull Soilgas begins mobile, on-site compositional analysis of fugitive emissions from possible well integrity issues using chromatographic instrumentation.

2003

Doull Site Assessments Ltd. (DSA) is incorporated and continues to provide exceptional service to customers in Western Canada, while leading the industry in development of well integrity testing and monitoring practices.

2008

DSA begins experimenting with, and innovating, remote monitoring technologies for well integrity testing/data collection.

2009

DSA expands to Calgary, AB adding more permanent and seasonal staff across Alberta.

2010

DSA introduces the latest in gas migration testing innovation with their patent pending test method, providing regulators in Alberta and Saskatchewan access to the methodology.  The new method improved on site efficiency by 100%, on average.

2011

DSA begins partership with Hifi Engineering Inc. (Calgary, AB) on the VentMeter™, a revolutionary portable, remote monitoring system that provides the highest quality surface casing vent flow data worldwide.

2012

DSA is consulted by regulators to aid in development of parameters and guidelines for testing abandoned wells in urban areas and near/under existing surface development.

2013

VentMeter™ fleet doubles in size, and collectively the systems provide over 150,000 hours of surface casing monitoring data in the calendar year.  DSA launches new system for field data collection and customer reporting.  DSA purchases property in Lloydminster, AB for new facility.

2014

Ground is broken on construction of DSA facility at Lloydminster, AB.  DSA expands to Edmonton, AB.  DSA is selected by Apple Canada as a presenter at speaking engagements across Canada, highlighting field level technological advancements in industry.  DSA is nominated by the University of Waterloo as a panelist at the Well Integrity Workshop hosted by the University of Pittsburgh.
